Quick answers

Does it delete things I need?

Only the paths you tick. Scanning is read-only, and anything running or open is skipped. Home folders, .git directories, Keychains and Xcode Archives are never touched.

Does it phone home?

No telemetry. The app only contacts Lemon Squeezy to activate, validate (at most daily) or deactivate a license, and it works offline for 14 days.

What do I get for free?

Unlimited scans and reports plus your first 3 cleanups. The CLI and local GUI are open source (MIT) and free.

Refunds and requirements?

The $19 one-time license (up to 2 Macs, 14-day refund through Lemon Squeezy) isn't on sale yet. The free download works today. Needs macOS 14 or later.

macOS won't open it?

DevPurge isn't notarized by Apple yet, so the first launch is blocked. Open it once and dismiss the warning, then go to System Settings → Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway. Every download has a SHA-256 checksum to verify it.
